My name is Julia. I live in the town of Alexandrov.

It has a very interesting history. In the sixteenth century Alexandrov was very important.AtthattimeourtsarIvantheTerriblelivedinit.

Now Alexandrov is a town of Russia’s Golden Ring. Tourists from different places like to visit it very much. We have a lot of monuments and historical places. There is Alexandrov’s Sloboda with many churches and a museum in our town. It is a very famous museum, with the buildings where Ivan the Terrible lived. I like Alexandrov’s Sloboda very much. There are interesting excursions there. My friend and I visit it every year.

I live in Alexandrov with my family. I have a father, a mother and a brother. My little brother’s name is Andrey. My parents work. My father is an engineer, my mother is an economist. Andrey is two. He goes to a children garden. My family is very friendly and loving.

As for me, I learn at school, in the sixth form. I like to go to school, because I get new knowledge and I can meet my friends there.

During my holidays I usually visit my granny. She lives in a village. It isn’t far from Alexandrov. Her village is a beautiful place. Near it there are fields and a river, where my father and I catch fish. In summer we gather mushrooms and berries in the forest. The nature there is very nice.

My grandma has some domestic animals: hens, rabbits and a big dog. The dog’s name is Baron. I like to play with him in the yard. It is very interesting in the village.

I love Russia, especially Alexandrov, because it’s my birthplace and all my relatives and friends live here. Alexandrov is the best place for me, because it is my home town.
