As all the people, living in Russia, I love my country. I am proud of it because Russia is the largest country in the world and it is very rich. I mean, that it has thick forests and high mountains, long rivers and deep lakes. I am proud of Russia, because it is a country with long cultural traditions dating back to the pagan times. I am proud of Russia, because it is the home land of many world-famous artists, writers, poets, architects, sculptors, musicians and dancers. But most of all, I love it for its nature and its people.

     To tell the truth, Russia is most famous for its people I know that severe climate makes our people strong. They could overcome all hardships. Do you remember the last patriotic war? How many people defending our Motherland were killed! At the same time the Russians are sincere and hospitable people. According to old traditions, a guest should always be welcomed with the symbol of life-giving food - bread and salt. I think that the Russians are clever and talented. The names of Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Tsyolkovski, Pavlov, Stanislavski, Repin, Vasnetsov and many others are famous all over the world.    

          Our country is rich in strong-willed people. I know one woman, she is my neighbour, who is a strong and clever woman. She had a lot of problems in her life, but she got over all the difficulties. She lost her son and soon she took a boy from a children`s home and adopted him. Now she  is a mother again and she lives happily with that boy.

 I love my country because of such people and I would like to be as strong as they are. Everybody agrees that Russian people are wonderful. They try to do everything to make Russia prosperous and popular in the world. I hope to do my best to make my country the most powerful one in the world.
