If anybody asks me If I love my country, I will answer that I love it very much. But if I`m asked why I love Russia, I will not be able to answer at once.
May be I love it for its large fields, thick forests, clear lakes and rapid rivers or may be for its people, who have made our country famous and respected in the world. I think, I love Russia not only because of all these facts, but also because my parents, relatives and friends live here.
When I hear the word «Russia», I remember how beautiful Russian forests and fields in winter are! High trees are standing covered with snow, large fields are sleeping under snow blankets and windows are beautifully decorated with frost.
My country is also associated for me with beautiful gardens in spring, wonderful rainbows after summer thunderstorms. I like calm walks through autumn forests when yellow leaves are whispering under your feet. In August, at night I can sit for hours watching the stars, breathing the fresh night air. Sometimes I wish the time stand still to enjoy the beauty of Russian nature as long as it is possible.
You can say that I can admire all these things not only in Russia, but I`m absolutely sure, that Russian snow is the whitest, the rainbows are the most colourful and the air is as fresh as it can ever be. The stars over Russia are the most magic and they fulfil wishes much quicker than stars over other countries.
To tell the truth, love is a very strange thing. Nobody can explain it. That`s why I can`t explain my love to Russia rationally. I just love it and I can`t imagine my life in another country but Russia.
